You don't get more channels on any machine than you do on another. Head on over to the Freesat section and search around. Because our receiver can access USB drive, you can watch and listen to all your videos, photos, and music from one place. High definition HD is definitely easier on the eyes. I mean iwont die without one but its just something i wanted to know before buying.

Please leave the unit for at least 10 hours in standby to enable a EPG download. The video frame remains projected on the TV, but there is no refresh of the video.

As compared to standard definition, HD gives you more vivid detail, finer gradations, truer colours, and more precise contrasts and contours. I can still playback all my old recorded programs that eppg currently stored on the hard drive. I used this a lot to start with but in the end the file limitations are too much and i switched to a mac mini HTPC thats a another story. And the icord can play from usb media devices and connect topc via ethernet and expand the storage via usb, none of which i thought the foxsat could do?

It can store recordings onto USB devices and playback from them also but only if the video is in yumax appropriate format, it's not a great media player.
You can record both at the same time.
